Architech is an app that teaches younger audiences about history through the lens of architecture, allowing students to explore aspects of history that don't always make it into the classroom
Overview
Objective
The goal of this design was to create an app focused on providing students with an additional learning resource to expand upon what is taught in class. This resource should be engaging and tailored for younger audiences.

Branding
The branding for this project revolves around Murph, our logo and mascot. He is one of the ways we have chosen to shift the experience away from mere history reading. Murph introduces interactive elements to learning through games, quizzes, and engaging content. He can often be found hidden in images and leaves messages for students to discover and read.
Research
Our research involved a combination of online research and interviews. Initially, we conducted online research to identify general issues in education. Subsequently, we conducted interviews to gain deeper insights into the current classroom experiences.
Educational research highlights two key issues: first, textbooks are often dull for younger readers, leading to disengagement; second, history and social studies scores are low, partly due to expansive curriculums.
Ideation
It was during the ideation process that we decided to shift the website's direction towards gamification, transforming the project into a website that teaches history through games. Additionally, we determined during this stage that architecture would be the primary subject of the website.
Design Process
After conducting research and ideation, we proceeded to develop our initial sketches and wireframes, and some of them were eventually refined into the final designs.
Final Design
After receiving feedback, we finalized some designs and constructed a working prototype. Our primary focus was on refining the flow and visual aesthetics of the website.
Starting with the landing page, students can navigate to either the lessons or directly access the educational games section from here.
The sections are organized based on historic art styles. When students scroll through the timeline, they can easily locate the time or region their teacher recently discussed in class.
From there, students will read a short passage about the respective topics.
Throughout this process, Murph will provide tips to students, enhancing the historical and cultural context with interesting facts and videos.
Following the reading, students can engage in a game related to their chosen topic. Murph will assist students by providing guidance and directing them in the right direction.
Ipad
This project has enabled me to concentrate on building a brand through various touchpoints and ensuring overall cohesiveness. It has helped me focus on the core principles of the brand and apply them in ways that resonate with customers and their products. Given more time, I would further develop the brand by exploring additional avenues for community interaction, both online and by organizing potential events. This would allow Reef Connection to truly establish itself as a brand centered on enhancing the customer experience
